The Benefits of Aloe Vera

How is aloe vera extracted? What are its properties and how suitable is it for use as an essential oil carrier?

It is obtained from the leaves of the plant and is extracted by cold pressing. The leaves are feed through mechanical rollers.

Its properties include those of anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-septic, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and cell regeneration. It works well as a tonic and moisturizer.

Aloe Vera is suitable for all skin types. It is especially good for sensitive, inflamed and damaged skin.

It is beneficial for athletic and muscular injuries. It work wonders for soothing a sunburn. Since it is anti-fungal it can be used to treat fungal infections like athlete’s foot and ringworm. You can use it to help conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, gout, eczema and psoriasis because of its anti-inflammatory properties. It is excellent to use on areas where you need cell regenerating such as scars and burns.

It can be added to the lotions, sprays and salves you use for sunburn, inflamed skin and fungal conditions.

It is best if used in a 10% solution, adding it to some of your other carrier oils, lotions, etc.
