What are the Benefits of Apricot Kernel Oil?

How is apricot kernel oil (Armeniaca vulgaris) extracted? What is its properties? How suitable is it as a essential oil carrier?

It is obtained from the fleshy part of the apricot stone and is extracted by cold pressing.

It is from the same family as almond oil and has the same properties. It does not go rancid quickly and has very little odor. It is a light nourishing oil and rapidly absorbs into the skin making it excellent to use with your essential oils. It is a natural skin moisturizer, soothing and softening the skin. It has a pale yellow color. This oil contains oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acid.

It is suitable for all skin types

The benefits of using apricot kernel oil include tissue regeneration, anti-wrinkle, and it helps keep your normal skin toned. It is especially good to use on prematurely aged, sensitive, inflamed or dry skin.

Use it in your face and foot creams, body lotions, bath oils, massage oils.

This oil can be used in a 100% solution or use it as a base and add some of the other oils to it.
