Healing Herbs
for Vibrant Health
and First Aid

“Nature can do more than physicians.” Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658)

Using healing herbs along with essential oils just goes hand in hand.

You can easily grow or buy dried herbs and make different herbal medicines, using them alone or in conjunction with the essential oils. Of course you have to use more of them as they are not as concentrated as essential oils. Essential oils can be 75 to 100 times more concentrated than the fresh herb.

The best way to use herbs is to implement them into your everyday diet by drinking nutritional infusions and adding them to your food. In this way they can help yourself stay healthy and prevent illness instead of trying to heal yourself after you’re already sick. You can also learn to make herbal medicines to help when your just not feeling great and when those small accidents happen.

Just like essential oils you want to learn the safe way to use healing herbs, even though they are not as strong as essential oils you still want to know how to use them correctly and not over use them. You will also want to learn what each herb is helpful for and any safety matters.

After just learning a few procedures and the benefits of a few plants you will be able to mix and experiment on your own and keep adding to your knowledge.

There are still always going to be times when you get sick and might need a visit to the doctor for more complicated matters, but keeping your immune system and body healthy can make them fewer. With your new knowledge of herbal medicines when the more common everyday occurrences happen you will be able to handle them yourself.

Your body is able to absorb the benefits of herbs (and essential oils) easily, where synthetic medicines are not as compatible with your body – the reason for all the side affect associated with drugs.

We seem to be a society that wants instant everything, but sometimes it takes little steps slowly taken to get to a wonderful end. Some herbs used for some things can give quick relief while others might take longer to see the results as they are helping your body balance and heal it self.

We are going to learn about nourishing herbal infusions, decoctions, tinctures, syrups, poultices and compressions, salves and ointments, herbal oils and more using fresh and/or dried herbs along with essential oils sometimes.

We will learn a little about some common herbs and some of the main things they are helpful for and some suggestions for learning more.
